Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has welcomed Queen Máxima of the Netherlands to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
During the visit, Lady Julia presented Queen Máxima, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, with a beautifully crafted kente cloth as a symbol of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and hospitality.
Queen Máxima was accompanied by the Netherlands’ Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Hans Akerboom, and other senior officials.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase Ghanaian culture and strengthen the cordial ties between Ghana and the Netherlands.
