The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Second National Vice Chairman, Henry Nana Boakye, has launched a verbal attack on Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, accusing him of behaving like a thief who attempts to divert attention from his own actions by constantly accusing others.

Speaking during the NPP’s Yɛ Gye Yɛ Sika demonstration, Mr Boakye took a swipe at the Foreign Affairs Minister over the issues that have triggered the party’s protest.

“Okudzeto is behaving like the thief who is in Kejetia or Makola who every day will be saying ‘thief, thief, thief’, meanwhile he himself is a thief,” he said.

His remarks formed part of the NPP’s criticism of the minister as demonstrators called for accountability over the controversies surrounding the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The accusation is part of the party’s broader protest against the minister, although the claim remains Mr Boakye’s allegation.
