The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects, including a juvenile, over the alleged murder of 34-year-old mobile money vendor Christian Amponsah at a guest house around Kasoa Second in the Central Region.
The suspects, identified as Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a female juvenile, were arrested on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
According to a police statement, the guest house manager became concerned after Amponsah and the juvenile failed to leave their room after booking it for two hours. A subsequent check reportedly revealed the victim lying motionless in a pool of blood.
Police described the scene as the deceased “lying in a pool of blood in a prone position then covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows.”
The body was conveyed to the Police Hospital Mortuary in Accra for preservation and autopsy.
The three suspects remain in police custody and are assisting with investigations.
“The Command assures the public that thorough investigations are ongoing with steps being taken to put the suspects before court,” the statement, signed by DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo, Head of Public Affairs for the Central East Region, said.
The suspects have not yet been put before the court as investigations continue.
