The Ghana Police Service has commenced a private investigation into what killed Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah.
Claims that the late Ejisu MP was allegedly poisoned have generated media outrage in the past days with counter-verbal attacks by leading TV presenters.
According to a report by Citinewsroom, the Accra Regional Police Command commenced an investigation after the wife of the late deputy Finance Minister Mrs. Lilian Kumah complained.
A police source told Citinewsroom that Kumasi-based Wontumi TV/Radio presenter Oheneba Boamah, who is also an aide to NPP Ashanti regional chairman, and Accra-based Onua TV presenter Captain Smart have been invited for interrogation.
“Yes, I can confirm to you that Captain Smart has already been questioned over the matter. Captain also mentioned that one Oheneba in Kumasi had confirmed his claims in a video, so the police had to extend an invitation to him too. He is expected to meet the Accra regional command for questioning today. which is Friday,” the source noted.
