After I became president, I asked my escort to go to a restaurant for lunch. We sat down and each of us asked what we wanted.
On the front table, a man was waiting to be served. When he was served, I said to one of my soldiers: go and ask that gentleman to join us. The soldier went and conveyed my invitation to him. The man got up, took his plate, and sat beside me.

That man was the warden of the prison where I stayed. After he tortured me, I screamed and cried asking for some water and he came humiliated me, laughed at me, and instead of giving me water, he urinated in my head.
He is not sick, he was afraid that I, now president of South Africa, would send him to prison and do to him what he did to me. But I'm not like that, this conduct is not part of my character, nor of my ethics.

The offender and the offended should know that life is turn by turn. When you are on the seat of Authority know that you will not stay there forever, that even your gateman can still become your boss tomorrow or hold something that you will need tomorrow to service with. Someone you look down on today might be the only signatory you need most on your journey to excel in future.
The prison warden never knew that Mr. Nelson Mandela would have his freedom free of becoming president, Mr. Mandela had the right to be punished but he said no because they are not of the same coin.
HE THAT FORGIVES IS STRONGER THAN HE THAT TAKE REVENGE
Though I have seen a Lion that was trapped and at the mercy of a goat begging for freedom and immediately she was released, she jumped upon the goat and devoured her. Some people are like that, they take your forgiveness as your weakness not knowing that you are stronger than them.
