The Borteyman Sports Complex has been commissioned for the 13th African Games scheduled to take place in Accra on March 8, 2023.
The President of the nation, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was present to inaugurate the project that commenced in 2021.
Accra will, in the next few weeks, welcome over 700 athletes from approximately 54 African countries to compete in various sporting disciplines, including soccer, volleyball, swimming, tennis, handball, and boxing among others.
The ultramodern Sports Complex boasts an aquatic facility with a 10-lane Olympic-sized swimming pool, along with an additional 10-lane swimming pool set aside for training purposes. Additionally, the facility is equipped for netball, volleyball, track and field events, and tennis.
The Borteyman Sports Complex project commenced on August 21, 2021, and was inaugurated on February 13, 2023.
