The search for a new Black Stars head coach is still ongoing with about 500 people showing interest - the Ghana Football Association has said.
The association's Vice President, Mark Addo, said in an interview that despite the huge number for the job, a tactical brain will be appointed for the position.
"This is my second time leading a committee to pick a coach, and I can tell Ghanaians that we will hire the best coach for the Black Stars according to the criteria." He told Akoma FM in an interview.
Adding that, "Nobody wants outcomes more than we (the FA), believe me; it just so happens that things don't always go as planned for various reasons, but we must keep moving forward."
The Black Stars head coach job became vacant after their abysmal performance at the ongoing AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.
Ghana was eliminated at the group stage of the competition with just two points.
