Pomeyie Richard congratulates President-Elect Mahama and Veep Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on election victory

Businessman Mr Pomeyie Richard Norkplim has extended his warm congratulations to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President-Elect, and Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President-Elect, following their resounding victory in Ghana’s 2024 general elections.  

In a message celebrating their success, Mr Norkplim lauded the people of Ghana for reaffirming their confidence in the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He described the win as a testament to the party’s vision and commitment to addressing the nation's pressing challenges.  

“Congratulations to President-Elect John Dramani Mahama, Vice President-Elect Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and all elected NDC Parliamentarians,” Mr. Norkplim stated. “This victory reflects the trust and hope Ghanaians have placed in your leadership, and it paves the way for the much-needed transformation of our beloved country.”  

He expressed optimism that the new administration will prioritize resetting the economy, fostering unity, and propelling Ghana towards inclusive development. 

“As you prepare to assume office, may your administration usher in an era of progress, peace, and prosperity. The responsibility bestowed upon you is immense, but I am confident in your ability to deliver on the aspirations of the Ghanaian people,” he added.  

Mr Norkplim urged the incoming government to maintain its focus on policies that promote national cohesion and uplift the lives of citizens across the country. He concluded by wishing the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect success in their tenure.  

“Once again, congratulations on this historic achievement. May your leadership be marked by integrity, vision, and the fulfilment of the dreams of every Ghanaian,” Mr Norkplim concluded.  

The victory of the NDC in the 2024 elections has been widely celebrated as a mandate for change, and expectations are high for the new leadership to deliver on their promises.
