Bloody clash in Tema: 3 suspected robbers gunned down by police

<p>The police have killed three suspected armed robbers in Tema. It followed a police patrol team's response to a distress call, which reportedly led to a confrontation with the suspects, leading to an exchange of gunfire.</p><p>The police in a statement said personnel from the Tema Regional Police Command on July 21, 2025, responded to a distress call regarding armed men numbering about ten breaking into a warehouse at the Tema Industrial Area.</p><p>The police said three of the suspects were shot in the process and have been pronounced dead.</p><p>The remaining suspects, some of whom are believed to have sustained gunshot wounds, fled the scene.</p><p>Exhibits recovered from them include: a Bruni mod foreign pistol, a double-barrelled locally manufactured pistol with two rounds of ammunition and 1 live BB ammunition.</p><p>The bodies have been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue for identification, preservation and autopsy while investigations are ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects. </p>
