The Volta River Authority (VRA) has firmly denied media reports linking it to a helicopter that reportedly made an emergency landing in Nkawkaw, Eastern Region, stressing that the aircraft is neither owned nor operated by the Authority and that VRA has no aviation services.

A statement from the authority said, “We would like to state unequivocally that the said helicopter does not belong to VRA and neither does VRA operate aviation services.”

This follows a viral speculation that a forced landing helicopter around Nkawkaw belongs to the VRA, just days after the deadly military Z-9 helicopter.

“The public is strongly advised to disregard any such reports.” Director of Corporate Affairs and External Relations at VRA Surv. David Adomako Mensah said in the statement.
