Mr. Samuel Gyamfi, the CEO of GoldBod and National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has filed a defamation suit against Afia Schwarzenegger, a media figure known for her controversial views.
The lawsuit, seeking GH¢10 million in damages, was lodged on July 23, 2025.
This follows allegations made by Schwarzenegger on the social media platform TikTok and her Instagram account a few days ago.
The allegations include claims that Sammy Gyamfi had acquired property in the United States for his wife or her alleged sister, and that he was providing financial support to several girlfriends at the University of Ghana.
Mr. Gyamfi has, however, refuted these claims, mentioning they were disseminated to damage his reputation.
He has further clarified that his wife does not have a sister named "Vida," as alleged.
The statements, he asserts, have caused concerns among his professional colleagues, family members, and officials within the NDC.
