U.S. President Donald Trump plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. 

Trump is attempting to secure Putin’s support for a 30-day ceasefire proposal, which Ukraine has accepted, and is considering concessions such as land and power plant control. 

Russia demands Ukraine’s neutrality and exclusion from NATO as conditions for a ceasefire, while the European Union remains skeptical of Moscow’s intentions.
