The Ashanti NPP Parliamentary Caucus says claims that their recent caucus election was influence by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is untrue.
A statement from the caucus secretary Vincent Ekow Assafuah Esq described the reports as “misleading”.
"The attention of the Ashanti Caucus of Members of Parliament has been drawn to misleading reports suggesting that the recent Ashanti Regional Caucus election was influenced by affiliations with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia or any other political figure and that the process was deliberately skewed against Hon. Nana Ayew Afriyie." A portion of the statement said
