Ghana legend Andre Ayew, at 35, shows no signs of slowing down, enjoying a successful run at Le Havre and remaining motivated by his love for the game.
His longevity is attributed to discipline, experience, and sacrifices like rigorous training and dietary adjustments.
"It makes you feel good," Ayew told BBC Sport Africa.
“There's a lot of sacrifices made to continue staying at the top level for all this while.”
"As you're growing older, you need to train more. It's even harder to stop yourself from eating certain foods," he said.
"We Africans, especially, like to eat good food. But at some point, you have to make a lot of sacrifices."
Ayew has had a distinguished career, playing for top clubs in Europe and representing the Ghana national team (Black Stars) in multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and FIFA World Cup campaigns.
