Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, believes Ghanaians have every right to be frustrated following the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
For the first time in two decades, Ghana will miss out on Africa’s biggest football tournament, set to take place in Morocco this December.
The Black Stars finished at the bottom of Group F, managing only three points from six matches during the qualifiers.
In response to the team's disappointing performance, many Ghanaians have voiced their anger, calling for sweeping changes within the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the entire dissolution of the technical team.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Mr Adams acknowledged the public's frustration but maintained that any decisions regarding dismissals should be handled through proper engagement.
"Ghanaians are right to be angry after Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations but as to whether to call for the sack of some people, I believe everything must be done through engagement."
Despite the setback, the Black Stars will regroup in March as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
