Ken Ofori-Atta's home in Cantonments was raided by a group of individuals dressed in military and police uniforms on Tuesday afternoon, February 11, 2025.

The former Finance Minister was reportedly out of the country for medical reasons, but some family members, including his wife, were present during the raid.

According to eyewitnesses, the team of 12 individuals, comprising five in military uniforms, one in a police uniform, and the rest in plain clothes, forcefully entered the premises, pushing aside private security guards.

They searched various parts of the house, including Ofori-Atta's bedroom, but left without taking any documents or valuables.

The motive behind the raid remains unclear, but sources suggest that the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) led by William Kissi Agyebeng was behind the operation.

The OSP had reportedly written to Ofori-Atta, summoning him to appear before them on Monday, February 10, 2025, but his lawyers responded that he was out of town for medical reasons.
