Samuel Awuku, former Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), proposes reforms to Ghana’s lottery sector.
Awuku suggests utilizing lottery proceeds for specific projects in critical sectors like health, education, and youth development, rather than funneling them into the Consolidated Fund.
Awuku also advocates for stricter penalties against illegal lottery operations, tax incentives for the sector, and responsible gaming practices to protect minors and combat addiction.
