President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama has extolled former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo regarding his leadership and friendship with him.
Nana Addo on the eve of January 6th ceased to be the sitting President of Ghana.
He and his Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, as custom demands, were present with their wives at the inaugural ceremony of the incoming President.
President John Dramani Mahama, after taking his oath of office and pledging allegiance to the people of Ghana, proceeded to address the nation.
John Mahama recalled his days with Nana Addo as a Member of Parliament they both became Presidents in 2013 and 2017 respectively.
To him, former president Nana Addo led a worthy life as a leader.
“You have without exception been a worthy opponent”, he stated.
