The Presidency has denied allegations suggesting that President Akufo-Addo has granted pardons to 11 individuals, including Ato Essien, former CEO of Capital Bank.
In a statement released to the media and signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, the Presidency described these claims as unequivocally false.
The statement urged the public to dismiss such misinformation, which may cause unnecessary confusion and distrust.
"The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has not granted any pardons," the statement affirmed.
It further noted that no decisions regarding pardons have been made or communicated by the Presidency.
