Entertainer and politician Kwame Asare Obeng, known as Kwame A Plus, has been elected as the new Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central in the Central Region.
He beat the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) incumbent MP, Naana Eyiah Quansah
With a total of 123 polling stations collated with five yet to be collated, Kwame A Plus was already out on the streets jubilating.
He took to social media to claim victory a few hours after the constituency polls closed without even waiting for an official declaration by the Electoral Commission.
He contested as an independent candidate against NPP's Naana Eyiah Quansah and the NDC's Kwame Deen Lawson
