Democracy Hub convener Oliver Barker-Vormawor is still in Police custody due to his inability to procure sureties to sign the bail bond, Police sources have revealed.
On 16th October 2024, the High Court granted the accused person bail in the sum of Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 20,000) with two sureties without justification.
According to sources, attempts by the Police to get the bail executed has proved futile due to the inability of the accused person to procure sureties.
Oliver however on Friday indicated to the Police that he may be able to procure sureties next week to sign the bail bond.
Lawyers for the accused person have accordingly been informed of the situation.
