Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and New Patriotic Party's flagbearer, reiterated his firm belief in God to make all things possible.
Paying a surprise visit to the Breman Assikuma Assembly of The Church of Pentecost on Sunday as part of his campaign tour of the constituency, Dr. Bawumia was inspired by a scripture that tells the awesome power of God to cause everything to happen, hence he strongly believes he can become President in 2025.
"There are so many things men cannot do but we believe God can do everything...There is nothing God cannot do. As the Bible says in Mathew Chapter 19:26, Jesus said, for people, many things are not possible but for God all things are possible...So whatever we do, we have to put our faith and trust in God. Once we put our trust in God, things will go well", Dr. Bawumia told the congregation.
While calling for prayers for peaceful elections this December, he stressed the election is not about insults and violence but expression of views and making choices.
He stated; "We all want peace in our country. Election is not fight or insults. It is all about expressing views and making choices and in the end, God's will shall prevail...I request your prayers for the country for God to continue to preserve the peace we enjoy as a country. Without peace, there cannot be development. We are in politics because we are here to serve the nation, so we pray to God to continue to grant our country peace."
"As we pray for the peace of this country, I also request for your prayers and support for me so that by the grace of God, the next time I come back here, I'll come as President of the Republic of Ghana as I seek to serve our country."
