The Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande says he will personally target the Ashanti Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in his party's fight against illegal mining when they come to power.
He claimed that Bernard Antwi Boasiako who is widely known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’ has been a threat to the nation's water bodies with his illegal mining.
Mustapha Gbande told NEAT FM's morning show, Ghana Montie, Friday, August 30, that, he will personally lead the arrest of Chairman Wontumi even in his hidout.
“I will pick up Wontumi from his house like a fowl when we come to power.” He assured.
