The National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have unanimously approved the Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, as running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The General Secretary of the NPP who described Dr Opoku Prempeh as “charismatic” and “bold” said he deserves the position.
“I am happy to report that after the necessary consideration, the NC unanimously endorses Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate of Dr Bawumia,” General Secretary of the NPP Justin Kodua Frimpong is quoted to have said at a press conference on Thursday.
“He is a charismatic, bold leader who excelled at the Ministry of Education and at the Energy," he said.
