The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is believed to have had a crucial meeting with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on the choice of his running mate.
A late-night meeting between the president and Dr Bawumia at the Jubilee House settled who the running mate of the NPP would be.
A source at the presidency told the website that Dr Bawumia presented his choice to the president.
Another source also said the National Council of the NPP is also aware of Bawumia's choice but not officially.
“I know Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh's name was discussed and the president is okay with that.” Our source said.
However, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will formerly present Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh also known as NAPO's name to the National Council, if accepted, a formal announcement will follow.
