A former Chemical Shop operator in Cape Coast, Esther Annan, has had a cause to be grateful to God after the inauguration of her ultra-modern chemical shop at Abura, Cape Coast.
A grateful and tearful Madam Abena Fosua revealed that she never believed she would witness another grand opening of a new shop after losing her first one.
The inauguration of the new chemical shop was on Sunday, 2nd June, 2024 at Abura, off the Academy road.
Narrating her ordeal at the inauguration, she recounted that, it all started when her father developed kidney complications which resulted in her spending a lot of money in his treatment which affected her capital.
According to her, when her father got well she also was pregnant with its related complications which kept her at home. "My absence from the shops made me lose more than ¢3000 a day for over 6 months", recounted Madam Abena. She adds, that because of this unfortunate experience, she had to rely on borrowing to support her capital to recapitalize her business.
"After taking the money to resuscitate my business, it rather aggravated my problems which culminated in losing all my investment", she narrated her ordeal.
Further, she admitted that, from the way things were panning out, she assumed her situation could have some spiritual manipulations and she decided to seek help. She continued, "There is no pastor on TV in Ghana that I never tried to seek remedy from, for my predicament but, that worsened my plight. I closed my shop and I even attempted suicide on two occasions", noted a sorrowful Madam Fosua.
Esther Annan furthered that, in her struggles and pennilessness, she acquired the land on which the new chemical shop edifice is situated. Narrating how the new shop came into being, she added, that her husband called asking what he could do to put smiles on her face. "I said I would be glad if I'm able to raise my shop again and here we're today, the proud owner of Esther Annan Chemical Shop", shared an elated Fosua.
She encouraged all the gathering not to be despaired in times of need and extreme grief because "God can make a way where is there seems to be no way", advised Madam Esther.
Father Daniel Afful of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ankaful, Cape Coast, was the officiating minister who prayed and anointed the new edifice before ushering in all the guests to catch a glimpse of the ultra-modern Esther Annan Chemical Shop.
