The National Democratic Congress ( NDC) must be revising their notes after NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia gave signs of making serious inroads into their stronghold, Volta Region.
Touring the region yesterday, May 30, Dr. Bawumia won the hearts of the thousands that poured out to meet him.
At the Ho market, the Youth Connect event, meeting with the regional house chiefs, and meeting with religious leaders among other activities, the people cheered him.
It was n electrifying moment as hundreds of the youth, mostly students participated in the youth connect event.
One young man sarcastically remarked, “ Dr. Bawumia had turned the NDC world bank into a susu office.”
House of Chiefs
The President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, welcomed Bawumia’s “progressive and forward looking ideas” for Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia was grateful to the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, for the privilege and honour, to address them and present his vision and policies for the continuous progress of our country.
Clergy, Imams & Zongo Chiefs
The flagberer began his tour of the region in morning, with his usual engagements with the Clergy, Imams and Zongo Chiefs.
He called on the religious leaders to offer their prayers and support to make his dreams come true.
He said the NPP led by him would not take Ghanaians for granted as he is coming up with his 2024 manifesto to address the needs of the people and country.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Volta Region Christian Council, Rev. Seth Mawutor, commended Dr. Bawumia for the good policies and programmes of the NPP government and prayed that God would help him to attain his wishes.
