Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh says the government will ensure the Ghanaians will have a stable power supply sooner than expected.

He admitted there are challenges but promised that will soon be over adding that the Nana Addo-led government has managed the situation well.

“If you are comparing, the NPP administration's energy sector is 300 times better than John Mahama's. Nobody is saying there are no challenges, but it's far better than Mahama's administration,” he said

His comment follows the unstable power supply being faced across the country.

Some Ghanaians including the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have called the  Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to publish a timetable schedule.

But Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh rubbished the call saying the situation does not need a timetable but challenged individuals advocating for it to publish their own proposed schedules.

“Ask those who want it to bring it if there is. I haven’t seen any timetable. The ECG says that there’s no timetable coming, why do you want to bring a timetable, and for what purpose? Why would somebody wake up and wish evil and wish bad for the country? When it is not planned, you can’t tell the person.” Napo as affectionately called told Joy News.
