Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George has unleased some attacks on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over a communique the presidency sent to parliament concerning the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill.
The presidency in a letter to parliament asked the August House not to transmit the anti-LGBTQI+ bill to his office - citing pending litigation challenging the legislation before the Supreme Court.
But Sam George who has been a frontrunner for the passage of the bill took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his disappointment in the president's posture on the bill.
“Dear @NAkufoAddo, this is not just shameful and disgraceful but speaks to the facts that when it comes to your words and promises, they are mere fluff and flowery English. Once again, you prove to the Ghanaian people that you are not to be trusted.” The unhappy lawmaker said.
The anti-gay bill if passed will criminalise same-sex activities and as well as promoters of the act.
