Reports making rounds that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has settled on Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election is yet to be confirmed by the party.
An earlier report by the party indicated that its decision body, the National Executive Committee (NEC) will today March 7 delibrate on Mr John Dramani Mahama's choice after he submits to them some names.
Even though Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang is highly tipped to pair Mahama, the party is likely to officially announce its final decision today.
Mustapha Gbande, a deputy General Secretary of the party, tells Citi News that the candidate to be announced will complement the flagbearer as someone with integrity.
