A timely intervention of Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin ended what would have been the first open fight in Ghana's parliament today, February 13, 2024.

The house witnessed a near fracas between Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) colleague MP, Sylvester Tetteh of Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro.

The reason was unknown but later information gathered is that the near bout was over an unpaid personal loan  Sylvester Tetteh is owning Mr Agyapong.

It all began when Sly Tetteh had attempted to extend pleasantry with Mr Agyapong when the latter got infuriated for no apparent reason and demanded the load to be paid.

Sensing ‘danger’, the deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markinw swiftly stepped in to whisk Sly Tetteh away from the chamber in a video sighted by Theannouncergh.com.
