The Asante Youth Forum calls for the immediate destoolment of the Kokosohene, Nana Kwaku Dua, since the actions of the chief are a clear breach of the constitution of the Land, and a gross disrespect to our King and Asante tradition.

Section (1) of Article 276 states: “A chief shall not take part in active partisan politics; and any chief wishing to do so and seeking election to Parliament shall abdicate his stool or skin.”

The decision by the Chief to get involved in partisan politics is a clear breach of the constitution and makes him unfit for the stool.

Also our Asante customs teach us that “Whoever informs an elderly about his insults said at his back becomes the perpetrator “ in the worse even if he(Wontumi) did so in the absence of the King, and with Nana Kwaku Dua is the one propagating it, he becomes the one insulting Sikadwa and that’s gross disrespect to the King.

Furthermore, issues of the King or Manhyia are not discussed on the radio or the newspaper. We find it very unfortunate for a Chief who should know better to be jumping from one radio station to the other with issues of Ahenfie.

Everyone in the vetting room including people he’s doing their bidding is on record saying nothing of such happened even on Abusua FM when Nana Kwaku Dua and one Abuba the Constituency Organiser who caused the commotion were both invited by the morning Show host to speak to the issue the Constituency Organiser debunked vehemently that he never heard anything of such.

The New Patriotic Party National Organiser is on record to have said nothing of such happened, Chairman Wontumi remorsefully denied the allegations and gave witness to what really happened in there.

We find it very disturbing and alarming to see a Chief who should know better doing otherwise at such a time the great King is about celebrating his 25th Anniversary he needs unity in his Kingdom.

We want to know the contribution of the Chief to the HealKath project by the Asantehene. .

If a Chief could lower the standards just for cheap political scores then he doesn’t deserve to be a servant of Sikadwa.

The actions of the Chief make him more of a serial caller than a loyalist of Sikadwa we dare him to produce a tape or witnesses to attest to his claim or forfeit the stool for the disrespect he has brought to the stool and the Kingdom.

Long live the Asantehene!
Long live Sika Dwa!!
Long live Asanteman!!!
