The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Simon Osei Mensah claims his territory until recent times was neglected by the previous government in terms of development.
He said the region was never prioritized for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led governments despite its popularity.
Mr Osei Mensah was grateful to the NPP government for ensuring the region gets its share from the national cake.
“As of 2017 when we took power, the Ashanti region was the worst in terms of infrastructure.” he claimed in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show, Ghana Montie.
He further said the Nana Addo-led government has “set a record’ in the region with more developmental projects.
