The Founder and President of World Wide Miracle, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has said the church has saved Ghana in many ways.

His comments come on the back of the Akosombo Dam Spillage that has displaced many communities and how the church has contributed in helping the affected communities.

On September 15, 2023, the Volta River Authority (VRA) initiated controlled spillage of the Akosombo and Kpong Hydroelectric Dams due to rising water levels caused by heavy rainfall.

However, this controlled spillage has intensified over recent days, submerging multiple communities and leading to the displacement of close to 30,000 residents.

Speaking on Starr Chat with Bola Ray, Dr. Tetteh stated the contribution of church has been enormous when the disaster

“I have been very concerned about the way we are trying to politicize the situation. Because people’s lives are at stake. It is neither NDC, NPP, CPP it is the people of Ghana. Sometimes we should put down our political colors and look at the national interest.

“The church has been the greatest gift Ghana has. Not just the spillage but the church in Ghana. But for the church in Ghana, Ghana will have split into many parts. As much as we have our own observation on how the white-man and how he gave the church and everything. The church has done so much,” Dr. Tetteh stated.

He continued: “Today but for the church I would not have been to Adidome and I would not have convinced many people, as we speak now the Zoomlion and Jospong Group are also working out to send something.”
