Delegates of the Assin Central Constituency who plan to vote against their Member of Parliament, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, in the November 4 Presidential Primary, have the river deity of the constituency to contend with.
The NPP Constituency Chairman of Assin Central, Mr. Attakora Amaniampong, has invoked the river in the constituency to kill anyone who votes against Hon. Agyapong in the upcoming presidential primary.
According to him, Hon. Agyapong has a very bright chance of winning the race, and he[Attakora] will make sure that none of the delegates of Assin Central votes against their MP.
Speaking to Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi FM, a delegate of the constituency called the bluff of the constituency chairman while debunking the claim that Hon. Agyapong has a bright chance to win the race over the Vice President, HE Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Dr. Bawumia is the choice of the people. None of those threats can influence our decision to vote massively for him”, the delegate declared.
The New Patriotic Party will elect their presidential candidate on November 4, and all manner of intimidation, blackmail and threats have been employed by the opponents of the Vice President to work against his ambition.
