The Ashanti Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako ‘Chairman Wontumi’ has ordered the removal of all “banners, flyers and paraphernalia” belonging to John Alan Kyerematen from his constituency.
The directive he said must be “respected and obeyed” by all constituencies in his jurisdiction with immediate effect.
“Once he has forfeited his membership, it is just right and fair that these items are removed from our offices.” Chairman Wontumi said in a statement.
Alan Kyerematen, former Minister of Trade and Industry, resigned from the NPP on September 25 and announced his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential elections.
The Statement
In view of Hon. Alan Kyerematen’s resignation from the party, all his posters, banners, flyers and paraphernalia at our party offices in all the constituencies must be removed with immediate effect.
Once he has forfeited his membership, it is just right and fair that these items are removed from our offices.
Thank you very much for your understanding and usual cooperation.
