A radio presenter and a reporter for Peace FM at Assin Fosu in the Central Region, Odoom Prince Linford, has been beaten by some foot soldiers of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
Prince Odoom, speaking to Peace FM News, recounted the ordeal he went through when the angry mob pounced on him saying “ I heard the top executives of the NDC were having a press conference at St Andrew’s SHS which belongs to the Central Regional Chairman for the NDC, Prof Richard Kofi ASIEDU. So we were all waiting for the press conference to be held and a man approached me telling me to leave the school premises because its a private property”.
He continued; “I asked him why but he insisted he has no explanations for me and that I should just get out. I obeyed and went out of the premises to sit somewhere waiting for my colleague's journalist who was inside. Then, a group of about 20 men rushed at me and ordered me not to sit at where I was sitting.”
“They started beating me up, slapping, kicking, tearing my shirt. The only thing I could hear them say was that I am an NPP journalist, so I am not supposed to be there”, he further narrated.
According to Odoom Prince, he currently feels severe pains in his chest and requires urgent medical treatment.
