Amanda Amoah, the wife of the police officer who was killed in the Ablekum bullion van attack has shared a tear-jerking story leading to the unfortunate death of her husband.

She told Youtuber, Kofi Adomah in an interview which was monitored by Theannouncergh.com that she spoke to her husband on the phone during his last hours on earth.

Mrs Amoah described her husband as a “good standing Christian” and a “breadwinner” for his extended family.

Late Lance Corporal Calystus Amoah and Amanda Amoah married in 2022 and had a child together.

Amanda said her life has been “shuttered” and she can’t fathom why robbers could shoot and kill an innocent man.

“At least they should have shot him in his leg so we’ll treat him later,” She mournfully said

Adding that, “I have lost my soulmate, he doesn’t play with me at all.”

According to the report, the late Lance Corporal Calystus Amoah passed out of the Pwalugu Police Training School in 2017 and was serving at the National Protection Unit (NPU) at Ghana Police Service headquarters in Accra.

Four armed robbers during an operation shot and killed LCpl Calystus Amoah when a bullion van he was escorting made a stop at the Ablekuma FanMilk Star Oil filling station.

The incident which unfolded on Thursday, June 22, 2023, is said to have claimed the life of the police officer on the spot despite frantic efforts by eyewitnesses to transport the deceased to a hospital.

The Ghana Police Service mounted a manhunt for the four robbers involved in the gruesome murder of the officer on Thursday while sending prayers up for the bereaved family.
