Ghana and Canada have agreed to collaborate on the establishment of Ghana’s Women’s Development Bank, with Canada expected to provide technical support for the initiative.
The agreement follows discussions between Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and Canada’s Secretary of State for International Development, Randeep Sarai.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen efforts to establish the proposed bank, which is intended to improve women’s access to financial services and support their economic empowerment.
Canada’s planned technical assistance is expected to contribute to the development of the initiative as both countries work towards its establishment.
The partnership highlights growing cooperation between Ghana and Canada on development-related issues, particularly initiatives aimed at expanding economic opportunities and supporting women.
